Waar gaat het over?

In April 1993 we made our debut at the International Furniture Fair in Milan. We presented sixteen products in an old villa in the city centre. A bundle of second-hand drawers, a chair made of rags, piled up lamp shades, a coffee-maker in which bicycle lamps were maunted, a bookcase made of paper....they formed a strong contrast with the chic antique cupboards and tables that the villa was furnished with. There was no information, no price lists, just the products. It was a try-out. The press asked for pictures. And the leading newspaper Liberation published a favorable article: Droog Design had shown that simplicity didn't have to be boring. Now, with the second edition of this book, to which developments occuring in 2004 and 2005 have been added, the number of products in the Droog collection has in the meantime grown to more than 200 objects. The products are very diverse.
